CITRS is an acronym that stands for character, integrity, trustworthiness, respect, and success. I started this essay by looking up the definitions of each of these words to make sure I understood them. Character is defined as all the qualities or things that make a person different from others. Integrity is being strong enough to do what you know is right even when it’s difficult. Trustworthiness is the ability to be honest, reliable and to keep your promises. Respect is treating someone in a way where they feel cared for. This means caring how your words and actions make other people feel. It is important to know that respect is something that you have and something you show. Success is the completion of a goal.
After I had all the definitions, I now needed to reflect on how each of these applied to me inside of my community. My community is made up of the places I go to the most which are school, my home and church. The first word character is basically who I am. I am a loving, caring, and helpful person that people can trust. I was taught to be a gentleman and to treat people the way I wanted to be treated, with respect and kindness. This is not always easy because people are not always kind and respectful back, but I try to achieve this every day. One of the kind things I do is help my classmates when they are having trouble with their school work. I show them how to find the answer or solve the problem. My integrity is apart of my character too. It is easy to want to do things that I see others do. Especially my friends or with things on social media. I am not perfect but I am striving to be better in all that I do. I own up to mistakes. For example, there was a situation in school that my name was involved in. Even though I was not the student causing the issue I was associated with the incident. So, I apologize for any misunderstanding that I may have caused. I recognized what was right and took actions to fix it.
Trustworthiness is important in all areas of my community. The more I show that I am honest and reliable, the more people in my community ask me to do. In school, I assist with the daily jobs in the classroom. My teacher can count on me to never miss a day. At church I show I am trustworthy by being apart of the media team. It is my responsibility to clean the microphones after each person uses them to help prevent others from getting sick. Since I did this well, I was asked to take on another job and learn how to work the video cameras. I also show respect in all areas of my community. In school I show respect to my teachers by listening to what they are telling me. This makes their job easier and they do not have to stop teaching in order to talk to me. Another way I show respect is by doing for the pastors at my church. I open the doors for them, carry their belongings and make sure they have their personal microphones. It is important for me to do this because they are important people in the church.
Success is the last word but one of the most important to me. Being a student at Ad Prima Charter School has challenged me to be successful in my studies and as an individual. Also, my faith in God helps me believe that I can do anything with His help. I encourage myself even when I do not do well that if I keep applying myself, practice and believe then I can achieve my goals. My hard work is paying off. I was recently accepted into the Jr National Honor Society and chosen to join robotics for good grades and good behavior. In addition, my baseball team and I won our first championship in 2022 after years of losing. This took a lot of practice and patience.
In conclusion, these words have impact on how we live our lives. These words are action words. These words show people that they can depend on you. These words can apply to anyone. They just have to push themselves. That is what character, integrity, trustworthiness, respect and success means to me.

CITRS is a positive, impactful, and meaningful acronym. Your
character, integrity, trustworthiness, and respect contribute to your success. “How do these contribute to my success?” or “How do these help me in my community” are some questions you might ask well I’m about to tell you!
First, let’s start off with your Character. Your character is your personality. In a community, good character is needed. This is because it helps your associates feel more comfortable talking around you. Talking goes under communication which is most needed in a community. It helps form the community and keep it stable. Keeping it stable can mean having good relationships with the people in your community and making everyone feel needed and welcomed because the community can fall apart without everyone.
Secondly, Integrity. Integrity is honesty. If there is no integrity in a community there will be no proper communication. That will cause complications and misunderstandings. Being honest with your peers in your community can create good relashionships. That will help with group work, class conversations, and serious discussions with your communtity.
Trustworthiness contributes to your community. When it comes to trustworthiness it all depends on how other people view you. If you're trustworthy then your mates will be more open to telling you their true opinions about work. Which will make everyone participate more and a happier environment in all. However if you are not so trustworthy this will have a negative impact on your community. When it comes to cheerleading there is a lot of trust put into that. If you don’t trust your teammates then when it comes to being the “Flyer”. The “Flyer'' is basically the person getting thrown into the air every 5 seconds. If you don’t trust your teammates while being in the position you can panic mid-air and harm one of your peers just because of trust issues. This shows how you can harm other people with dishonesty.
It goes without saying that Respect is one of the most important issues facing us today. Whether it’s a peer, authority figure, or random stranger many reports of disrespectful comments or actions have been shown to one another. First let’s take a look into hate crime. A hate crime is a crime involving violence or threats which is usually motivated by the person's religion, race, sexuality, or if they are a foreigner to a place.First of all, it's worth considering that since in many communities there are kids all raised by different sets of individuals which can cause confusion in beliefs of what's “right” and what's “wrong”. People can and most of the time will get offended by what another person has to say without knowing the right way to respond to a different opinion. Not only is having respect is a way of avoiding conflict but also building relationships and having a good tone in the place overall. In my opinion respect is knowing when the right time to share your opinion is. For instance if someone says they looked bad that day and you said “yeah you kinda do”. That is not respectful. That was hurtful and could have caused conflict between the individuals even if you don’t think what you said was all that horrible.
Last but not least, the meaning of Success helps a community strive. Success has a different meaning to everyone. Success means the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. If you asked me I would say success to me is being happy. It’s kind of a broad topic as not everyone is at the same level or has the same intrest. It is often said that success is leaning towards being rich and having a family but I can find many people to argue with that statement. As Tomas Eddison said, “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it”. He gave us an example of success leaning towards your feelings and motivation towards what you do. Success in a community can be winning a competition, doing all your group work, or just having a hard working foundation. If everyone in your community has a mindset of wanting success for themselves and the people around them the work will be amazing and museum worthy. Whatever your project is, if everyone has a mindset of success, doing their best the whole time the outcome will be relieving, wonderful, and compliment worthy.
In conclusion the acronym CITRIS has a huge impact on communities. Character, integrity, trustworthiness, respect and success all help contribute, form, and keep a community going. This is why you should have, remember, and appreciate CITRS
when in a community. With all this said when in a community acknowledge CITRS through your peers and or help them understand.

Character, Integrity, Trustworthiness, Respect, and Success (CITRS) are traits that have helped me develop as a young man. These qualities mean a lot to me, because I believe they will help me grow into someone who truly benefits others. CITRS captures the traits of a role model, someone that drives positive change in their personal lives and in society as a whole, and I aspire to be that person.
When I think about character, I think about the traits that define someone, which also impact how they drive their actions. As I grow, I look to develop my character into one that brings good in others’ lives and in my life. This drives me to help others and to encourage my peers. As class president, I constantly attempt to help administration improve the learning experience for my peers, especially those who struggle. In my extracurricular program, Breakthrough of Greater Philadelphia, I always try to interact with the younger kids and to teach them new things. It brings me joy to have an opportunity to set an example for younger kids. Academically, I am constantly driven to achieve high scores on all of my assignments. My desire for good character also helps me consider the needs of my family with the idea in mind that I should treat others the way I want to be treated. To add, I believe that good character comes from constantly looking to improve myself, since that is a key aspect of bettering oneself as a person. What completes good character is integrity.
Integrity is a key aspect of morality. I define integrity as being honest and demonstrating nobility of character. The value of integrity has helped me positively affect the lives of those around me. What has helped me develop this trait is my participation in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). NJHS recently organized a canned food drive to help those in need, which meant a lot to me. This program relied on my help to make calls to those in need for a Thanksgiving giveaway. My participation required an honest effort from me to do my best to help. This was a great privilege for me, because I was able to contribute to an effort that had a positive effect on those in my community.. This showed me the value of integrity, because this effort showed me the importance of dedicating ourselves honestly and fully to driving change as a people. When taking part in such efforts, it is also crucial to be trustworthy.
Trustworthiness is necessary in our interactions with others. Trust is key for those surrounding me to feel comfortable, because it helps construct the foundation of dependability between people. Through my focus on trustworthiness, my peers feel comfortable confiding in me. Because people feel comfortable confiding in me, I have strong personal relationships and I know to surround myself around others who are trustworthy to confide in. Trustworthiness has been a significant factor in how I communicate with people, and what adds to trustworthiness is respect.
Respect is another key value that plays an important role in my personal relationships. It inspires me to show a high regard for others and myself. Respect sets the bar high and allows me to be an example to others. Respect helps me communicate well with others and strengthen my relationships. It allows me to constantly think about how I can best treat others, further setting me up for success in the steps I take throughout my life.
The qualities mentioned before inspire me to succeed. As an African-American male coming from a Malawian family, success is a motivational factor that prompts me to set the bar high for others just like me. The idea of success has inspired me to achieve high scores academically and become the president of my student council. Success inspires me to push myself and to achieve in whatever I dedicate myself to, so that I can support my family and friends near and far.
Ultimately, the traits that make up CITRS (Character, Integrity, Trustworthiness, Respect, and Success) are qualities that we should always live by. They guide us and inspire us to be the very best version of ourselves at all times. While these traits help us build ourselves up, they allow us to be great examples to those around us to drive positive change for the community and for many generations to come.

The qualities of Character, Integrity, Trustworthiness, Respect, and Success (CITRS) are attributes that have always meant a lot to me. They have helped me build a strong moral foundation so that I can be a positive influence in the lives of others. I believe that these five traits are crucial to help us all have the hope for a brighter tomorrow.
Character is an important part of what helps me drive good outcomes in my everyday life. This principle inspires me to love everyone and to welcome all people. I aspire to set an example for others while making sure that I do not put anyone down in the process. In school, I use my academic gifts to help others with their challenges in the classroom. My aspiration to have good character helps me enjoy tutoring others to help my peers succeed. I want to see everyone around me succeed, as I succeed too. As Vice President of my class, I give my best effort to inspire my peers to do the same to inspire good changes for future students. The principle of character also inspires me to continuously improve so that my positive influence on others grows stronger. In the process of building character, the focus on integrity helps me go in the right direction.
Integrity inspires me to be honest and to embody a strong moral foundation. Integrity has helped me stand firm in positivity to help me constantly refine myself and to benefit others in the process. My participation in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) has helped me further develop my desire to have honest and generous intentions. We recently advertised a turkey and jacket giveaway that Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell held to help others who cannot afford to buy a turkey or to be warm on Thanksgiving. Being a part of this required me to give my best and most honest effort to help others in their time of need. This program showed me the value of integrity, because it showed me how it can help me bring joy to others while dedicating time and effort to doing the right thing. It also showed me how trustworthiness is an important part of doing good work.
Trustworthiness is important to me, because it helps me build strong connections with others. While I am vulnerable at times and I may need someone to speak to, I recognize that many others feel the same way. So trustworthiness helps people feel comfortable opening up to me and this helps me build compassion for others. Trustworthiness helps me to be there for others during their highs and lows and helps me surround myself around others who do the same for me. I have found that building trust increases my respect for myself and for others.
Respect is a crucial part of what helps me create a positive environment around me. I believe that everyone should be treated with a high regard. Life can be very difficult, and it does not make things easier when people disrespect others. Everyone should treat others with respect, because everyone wants respect in return. As a result, respect drives how I treat people whether I am at school, home, or anywhere else. It helps society move in the right direction. I also believe that respect is a big part of what helps me achieve success.
Success is an important principle that helps me have direction in life. The idea of success has driven me to achieve high grades and to aim to bring positive changes for my peers as the vice president of my class. Success keeps me motivated and helps me visualize a better future not just for myself but also for my family, my community, and the next generations.
To conclude, the traits that make up CITRS are important to cultivate in our everyday lives. They inspire us to go down a good path and lead others along the way. I have used the CITRS (Character, Integrity, Trustworthiness, Respect, and Success) acronym to better myself and help others better themselves too. Life can be hard sometimes, but we can always have hope for a brighter future when we maintain these good qualities.
